When you use HealthyHive, we may collect:

• Account information — name, email address, profile photo, and team membership.
• Health and fitness data — with your explicit permission, metrics such as steps, active minutes, workouts, calories, sleep duration and stages, heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
• Usage data — app interactions needed to provide features such as sync status and leaderboard scoring.

How we use your data

We use your information to:

• Provide the wellness dashboard, team features, and leaderboard
• Sync and store health metrics associated with your account
• Send account-related emails (verification, password reset, notifications you opt into)
• Improve app reliability and security

We do not sell your personal or health data to third parties for advertising.

Health data permissions

Health data is read from Apple Health or Health Connect only after you grant permission in the app. You can revoke access at any time in your device settings. Revoking access stops new data from syncing; previously uploaded data may remain until you request deletion.

Data storage and security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on servers used to operate the HealthyHive API (api.healthyhive.space). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

Data retention

We retain account and health data while your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting support@healthyhive.space.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

HealthyHive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
